Just a small poem inspired by the late, great Roger Miller who sang "King of the Road." This small camping trailer was found in the woods and up on a hill behind an abandoned restaurant that has deteriorated through the years. Must have taken some skillful navigation treading it between all the trees to get to it's location.

I slowly and stealth-like walked around this camper and then cautiously entered for it seemed that someone has taken up residency or possibly resided in this small abode at one point. Mail, flyers with coupons with unpaid bills laying on the counter tops and stove amid the Mouse droppings that were everywhere. Personal belongings scattered about the trailer along with personal hygiene products in the cramped bathroom.

All the comforts of Home!

 

 

Back in November 2016 this Camping Trailer was hauled out of the woods. Now easily accessible to be carried off to a local scrap yard. A new owner has purchased the property and is going to restore the estate as close as they originally were. This site has been abandoned for about 15 years and now it's starting to clean up. I have been taking series of photographs throughout the years and now will continue as the owner is allowing me to document the progress of the estate. With no estimate time of completion, I will eventually feature the before and after photographs. Stay tuned!
