Along State Highway Route 23 sits an old deteriorating 1951 Ford V8 F-5 Truck on Green Valley Farms. Her Rust and decay mixed in with mossy green blend in beautifully with Mother' Nature's landscape. The 1951 trucks were restyled, introducing the single bar style grille with a headlight at each end of the grille bar. The grille was painted argent (silver) to complement the chrome headlight bezels. The hood styled side spears and a three slot decretive embellishment at the front. The front bumper also was redesigned which is not present on this forsaken beauty. The bed and tailgate of course were also redesigned. The bed layered a hardwood floor instead of the previous all metal floor. Under the hood carried a moxi 239 CID Flathead V8, 100 hp (75kW) at 3,800 rpm. A screwdriver and wrench were all you needed to tweak the engine and keep her running.
Perhaps the origin of where this truck came from many years ago which is approximately twenty miles or so as the Crow flies from her location. When researching the name from the door of this truck I found nothing matching it.
Old Glory waves proudly on this vintage American Made Beauty!
